Freestyle competitions are held all over the UK, Ireland, Scotland & Norway. Freestyle is becoming the fastest growing dance style in the UK. Dancers dance around the room to a minimum of 3 adjudicators performing routines taught by their dance teachers in order to get through round after round to make the quarter final, semi final and final of their section. Dancers can enter competitions from the age of 3
We run our Stretch & Technique class every Thursday for dancers to improve on their flexibility/ stretching as well as learning and improving moves.
We also have our Competition class every Friday, Where out competitions get together and practice routines in a competition like setting, supporting each other and building confidence together
We offer 1-2-1 Private lessons based at our studios in grimsby. Dancers learn technique, moves, stretch and their routines for competitions in these lessons. Lessons available in 20/30/40 minuet slots
We attend competitions on a monthly basis, but NO competition is compulsory. you can attend as little or as many as you like. A competition calendar is given at the start of the year.
The ADFP and FRC are the governing body for Freestyle competitions, Your licensing and insurance fee is paid once a year, enabling dancers to enter competitions for the year.
You do not have to buy expensive costumes to take part in Freestyle competitions, Beginners have set costume to wear until moving up sections, second hand costumes, and budget costumes are more popular than ever.
